L-Carnitine
Human studies with L-Carnitine supplementation have yielded encouraging results, including a significant reduction in various markers of myocardial damage (infarct size, QRS scores, serum aspartate transaminase and lipid peroxides). The utility of L-Carnitine in patients with congestive heart failure continues to be studied. Its effectiveness in patients with inherited carnitine deficiency syndromes and associated cardiovascular dysfunction is well established.
